This dance hall was all the rage in the late 19C and provided the inspiration for one of Renoir's famous paintings, now on display in the Musée d'Orsay, as well for painters such as Van Gogh and Willette. Standing on top of a hill, the windmill (the correct name is Blute-Fin) is known to have existed as early as 1622.
