The former priory of Saint-Martin-des-Champs has housed the Conservatory of Arts and Trades since 1799. From rue du Vertbois, the remains of the surrounding wall of the priory are still visible; the monks' refectory, built by Pierre de Montreuil, is a jewel of Gothic art. The chevet and belfry of the church of Saint-Martin-des-Champs are Romanesque in style. The conservatory is now home to the Musée des Arts et Métiers.
