The promenade carries on from the Corniche, following the Parc Balnéaire du Prado, an area of swimming pools and man-made beaches backed by pleasant lawns. Numerous restaurants line the opposite side of the road. By the Vieille-Chapelle beach, the Bowl de Marseille is a skate park attracting fans of different skating disciplines. Every summer the beaches here boast a venue hosting a variety of sports events, including international competitions.
