Home to wholesale fabric merchants since the 19C, the busy Sentier district buzzes with life on weekdays. Here fashions come and go at breakneck pace, with workers, wholesalers and manufacturers all heading the field. Following the movement of some establishments to the 11th arrondissement at the instigation of the Chinese community, "new technology" businesses have set up in some of the previously vacant workshops.
