Adjoining the church of São Roque, this museum of religious art exhibits 16C Portuguese paintings and part of the treasury collection from the chapel of São João Baptista. The rich Baroque decoration of the furnishings and silverwork by 18C Italian artists is outstanding, as is the superb section of oriental art, including a Christ carved in ivory of Indian origin, dating from the 4C-5C.
