This imposing Neo-Gothic style edifice built out of iron and red brick was the work of Domènech i Montaner in 1887 as a restaurant at the Universal Exhibition of 1888. Outside, notice the large Gothic windows, Romanesque crenations and the ceramic tiles which depict allegorical and fantasy figures.
