This cemetery stretches to the foot of the Brandaris tower. Its lined up tombs recall the maritime history of the island with steles from the 19C and the beginning of the 20C engraved with naively drawn ships. One of these steles, in the centre, recalls the episode in January 1880 in the course of which five rescuers from the island perished while trying to save the survivors from the shipwreck of the Queen of Mistley.
