This square is home to attractive monuments such as the late-Gothic St-Nicolaaskerk, the Klokkentoren (old prison) and the old town hall (17C), a porticoed building built of brick and sandstone now converted into a restaurant. Also note the pretty façade with a stepped gable of the Huis Lemker (1627), with two sculpted steles placed in front of the entrance.
