As you stroll round this square, admire the monuments such as Herzler palace, built in 1795 and now home to a fantastic entomological collection and the wonderful Patacic palace (1764), on the corner of Gundulica, whose Rococo façade is one of the finest in the town. Venture inside the Franciscan church of St John the Baptist (1650) and gaze at the sumptuous interior decoration. In front stands the statue of Gregory of Nin, bishop of Split in the 10C.
