Turia Gardens, planted with palm trees, oleanders and pines, and equipped with sports grounds and play areas, occupy the drained riverbed of the Río Turia, in Valencia. This 7km green belt, straddled by 17 bridges, leads walkers from the remarkable Ciudad de las Artes y las Ciencias, in the southeast, as far as the very pleasant Parque de Cabecera, in the northwest. On the route you come across museums, parks, concert halls and convention centres.
