It takes approximately 15min to walk up to the Monte dei Cappuccini (284m altitude), but the climb is well worth the effort for the stunning views of Turin and the Alps from the esplanade in front of the pretty Santa Maria del Monte church (1656). To the right of the church, the Museo Nazionale della Montagna housed in part of the old Capuchin monastery examines different aspects of the relationship between people and the mountains.
