Since the end of the 15C, Sulmona has been renowned for its sugared almonds which are made of a mixture of Sicilian almonds, hazelnuts, chocolate and dried fruit covered with a coating of glacé sugar. Confetti Pelino has been in business since the 18C and now also has a small museum next to its factory.
