Built toward the end of the 14C, with the exception of the impressive west tower, which was added in the 15C, this church has an unusual feature in that the flying buttresses of the chancel are concealed under the roof. Note the Gothic main altar with the Coronation of Mary (15C) and the organ by Friedrich Stellwagen (c 1659). Fine view over the town and the Pomeranian islands from the panoramic belvedere (access via a stairway - 366 steps).
