The memorial which stands on top of Pratzen Heights is devoted to peace. Known as the Peace Mound (Mohyla míru), it was built between 1910 et 1912 by the Secession style architect Josef Fanta in tribute to the victims of the battle in 1805 which opposed Napoleon against the Austrian and Russian troops. At its foot are an ossuary and a museum. The site commands a fine view of the battlefield. Beyond, on Sokolnice road stands a chapel which marks the spot where the Austrian artillery bombarded Telnice.
