These towers were erected in 1370 as part of the fortifications to protect the town from the free companies that were invading Provence and are named "Sauve" (Save), "des Gens d'armes" (People of Arms), "Notre-Dame-du-Fort" (Our Lady of the Fort) and "Gossip". Three of them can be seen from the Allée de Verdun, but there are two others - one near the post office and the other at the foot of the citadel.
