Since 2000, galleries and resident artists have occupied a growing number of spaces within a disused factory complex, following in the footsteps of two pioneers from the art world: Lorenz Helbling, founder of ShanghArt, and Davide Quadrio, director of BizArt. All art forms and styles can now be found side by side at M50. You can even meet resident artists. With cafés and restaurants, too, this a pleasant place to potter about for the best part of a day.
