An excellent way of exploring the rice fields which comprise the stunning landscapes around Yuanyang is to take the circular walk around the village of Shangguangping. This two-hour walk follows a network of small paths through forests, rice fields and villages. Half-way along is the village of Shangguangping with its picturesque school playground and fountain-wash house.
