Ravanica Monastery, located a few kilometres from Cuprija, was founded by Prince Lazar in the second half of the 14C. Killed in 1389 during the Battle of Kosovo Polje, the prince has since rested there in a sumptuous tomb. This Orthodox monastery combines the Moravian style with traditional architecture. It still has its superb rosettes and refined frescoes.
