The Place de la Libération (formerly Place Porta), shaded by palm trees and elms, is the liveliest place in town with its cafés and Saturday market. It is home to the town hall and the imposing Église Sainte Marie. Passing beneath the vault of the town hall, you enter the Santa Anna neighbourhood, which retains its medieval appearance despite the large numbers of tourists.
