This village, which is little more than a cluster of houses, stands at the easternmost tip of Mljet island. In addition to its peaceful atmosphere, it is reputed for its sandy beaches, a rarity in Croatia. As a result, promoters are beginning to build villas in the surrounding woodland, although fortunately these have not yet spoilt the landscape.
