This 12C Romanesque building is a former Cluny Abbey priory - the octagonal tower over the transept crossing copies its Blessed Water bell tower. The attractive varied volumes of each storey are best seen from the presbytery garden. Nave decor is discreet, with alternating columns or groups of small columns and pillars topped by twisted twinned columns. The late 12C stone baptismal fonts are original: note the basin sculpted with lions and four heads of Syrian inspiration (corners).
