Built by the British around 1800, the fort was alternately captured by the Americans and the British. Behind grassy earthworks and a wooden stockade, you will see the officers' quarters, smithy, powder magazine, guardhouse and three casemates housing military displays. Costumed guides re-enact scenes from the period.
