Rozen Monastery lies in splendid surroundings, dominated by the pyramids. The place is unassuming, with its small flower garden and its courtyard shaded by a climbing vine and wooden galleries. The church, decorated with murals and lit by unusual stained-glass windows, contains a superb iconostasis. The austere remoteness of the area, the beauty of the site and the Orthodox songs continuously broadcast contribute to the emotion brought on by the visit.
