Both sides of the tree-lined walkways alongside this canal are lined by 19C houses and dotted with contemporary sculptures. Of particular interest are Silvette at n° 8, an enlarged reproduction (1970) by Carl Nesjar; a small sculpture by Picasso; and, not far away, The Walking Man by Rodin. On the other side of the canal, admire the reconstruction of the Café De Unie, created by J.J.P. Oud (1925), with lines and colours reminiscent of the De Stijl movement.
