Known simply as Piazza Vittorio, this square in a working-class district was laid out in the late 19C by Gaetano Roch and other architects, who gave the square its Turin-style arcaded buildings. It is brought to life by the large market on Via Principe Amedeo; the surrounding district is home to all sorts of Asian shops. In the garden, the Roman ruins were once part of a 3C monumental fountain adorned with the "Trophies of Marius".
