The collections on display come from the merger of the museums of Sugar and of Anthropology and Folk Art. Visitors will learn how sugar cane is processed and see superb carriages and golden sugar bowls used in the plantations, instruments used to torture slaves but also arts and crafts from the Caruaru region and maracutu costumes... The museum also covers the cordel literary genre.
