This estate's pleasant layout dates from the early 17C. Malle castle itself, a delightful abode topped with a Mansart-style slate roof, is evocative of Gironde charterhouses. The richly furnished interior is home to a collection of trompe l'oeil silhouettes that is unique in France. The outhouses are home to wine barns, while the terraced Italianate gardens open onto the vineyards. Sauternes wine tasting at the end of the visit.
