Three kilometres from the charming village of Platanistasa, this building that calls to mind a barn contains astonishing paintings from the late 15C. Indeed, they are a far cry from the rather strict canon of Byzantine frescoes. Here, the picturesque details abound: small figures observing the scenes from their balconies, representations of medieval houses, St Peter warming himself by a fire in the scene of the Denial.
