Its Baroque facade is in contrast to the powerful fortified campanile which is in fact the old medieval Belfry. Nearby, a crossbeam column is sculpted with heraldic bearings and is topped by a bear, an allusion to the Orsini, Roman Counts who were the masters of the place for a long time.
