Its 18C façade graces the square, complete with a pediment and fine wrought-iron work, hiding the main building, which dates from 1552. The states of Languedoc often held their sessions here, in particular the meeting that triggered the rebellion of Henri II de Montmorency against royal authority in 1632. Today it houses the Maison des Métiers d'Art, which stages temporary craft exhibitions by France's fine art workshops.
