The icy waters of the mountain Lake Yunoko abruptly drop 70m in height over the course of 110m. Between the rocks, the plume of white smoke generated, which is accompanied by a deafening noise, can be observed from several wooden platforms. At the base of the falls is the start of the wonderful Senjogahara nature trail along the Yugawa River, which is much quieter. In winter, partly subjugated by ice and surrounded by trees weighed down by snow, the waterfall becomes almost silent.
