The church dates back to around 1100, although most of the present church was built in the 13C. The edifice's pride and joy is inside, in the Wiriot chapel, a vault decorated with 12 delicately carved hanging keystones. Without vaulted compartments, it is a unique Gothic masterpiece in Europe.
