Several printed cloth manufacturers are located in the rue des Franciscains in Mulhouse, of which the Cour des Chaînes, housed in a 16C building and opened in 1763, is the most famous. The contemporary painter, Fabio Rieti has painted a mural on two sides of the building representing the history of Mulhouse.
