At an altitude of 1 320m, the Faucille Pass crosses the large ridge that separates the depression of the Rhône and Lake Geneva on one side and the Valserine on the other. Nearby, the road crosses two walls of fir trees then, all of a sudden, right in the axis of the road, Mont Blanc comes into your field of vision. In the late afternoon, the sudden appearance of this giant of the Alps, tinted pink in the fading light, is an unforgettable moment. There is also a fine view over the valley of the Valserine.
