The remains of the palace of Felipe IV, Casón del Buen Retiro, now houses the Prado library. Visitors can enter and admire the huge main hall and the palace's former ballroom, whose ceiling is adorned with a beautiful fresco by Luca Giordano and whose walls are hung with canvases depicting historic events.
