An extension of Paseo del Prado, between Cibeles et Colón squares, this alley is famous for its cafés, such as the Gijon, at N° 21, whose décor has remained unchanged since 1888. It was where everyone who was anyone in the world of literature, the arts, show business and bullfighting congregated.
