This street, which became a square under the Consulate, is marked at one end by the sign of the Rue du Boeuf and at the other by a statue of St John the Baptist in an alcove. At N°40 of Rue St-Jean is a house with a beautiful staircase on pitched arches and a gallery with lowered arches.
