It's well worth exploring the districts of Grund (a UNESCO World Heritage Site), Pfaffenthal and Clausen, which together make up Luxembourg's "lower" town. These three old villages, formerly the home of craftsmen and soldiers, are attracting more and more visitors, thanks to their wooded river banks, carefully restored old buildings and artfully maintained romantic atmosphere. The districts offer different views of the old town and its fortifications.
