Londonderry's old town is still surrounded by its old ramparts; built between 1608 and 1613, they have three main gates. Of particular interest in the city is St Columb's Cathedral, which is built in the Gothic style, and the Craft Village, a group of old houses and narrow streets lined with souvenir shops, tearooms and restaurants. The Bloody Sunday Monument was also erected here, in memory of the victims of this event.
