Although Covent Garden may not be the most typical of London's districts, it is the heart of the city for tourists. Crowds of visitors come to stroll around the pleasant Piazza, where stallholders once sold their wares in the famous market immortalised in My Fair Lady. Around the ever-busy Piazza, which is lively late into the night, cafés attract sightseers by day, while its chic restaurants attract visitors for a pre-theatre dinner before heading to one of the West End's famous shows.
