A city in the city, Manufaktura is set up on the wastelands of the late-19C Izrael Poznański industrial complex. It encompasses the Poznański Palace, the city's current museum, the former factory, the warehouses and the workers' homes. Behind their impressive red-brick façades, the renovated historical buildings now house museums, restaurants, shops, cafés, pubs, cinemas, discotheques, as well as a casino and an aquarium.
