All that remains of the Ter Doest (1 km from Lissewege), a daughterhouse of Koksijde's Dune Abbey, are the chapel, a turreted farmhouse (partly converted into a restaurant) and the vast and fine 13C abbey barn-church adorned with Gothic brick mouldings and topped by wonderful oak rafters.
