The metro stations in Lille are decorated with contemporary artwork: a fresco by draughtsman Jean Pattou (at the station Gare Lille Europe), sculptures by Debeve (République), La Main, a giant sculpture of a hand by César (Porte de Valenciennes), frescoes by Degand (Fives), and a bronze by Silviane Léger (Pont-de-Bois).
