This park (2 000ha) covers part of the Twelve Bens mountain range and includes peat bogs, heaths, meadows and woodland. In the Visitor Centre, a well-designed exhibition retraces the development of Connemara and provides information on the preservation of the park and its soil, flora and fauna. Useful information is also provided for hikers wanting to walk in the famous Twelve Bens mountains.
