Mont des Alouettes
O Guide Vert
Opinião do guia Michelin
This site (231m high) is said to take its name from the bronze larks that decorated the helmets worn by the Gallic legionnaires of the Roman army who camped here. There is a small granite chapel (1823) as well as mills that are typical of the region. From these heights there is a superb view out towards Nantes, the sea and the chain of hills on which you can make out the church in St-Michel-Mont-Mercure. You can also admire the bocage criss-crossed by hedges and small woods.
