It was here, in the Casa de la Logia Masónica, an old 18C casona, that the town's patriots gathered to proclaim the province's independence in December 1820. The carved wooden long balcony is particularly worthy of note. 400 years old, it is 64m long, a record in a Peru according to the inhabitants of Lambayeque.
