The town hall has been closed to the public since the fire of 28 June 2013. The works of art and furnishings that survived have been entrusted to the Museum of Fine Arts until 2019-20. Its striking exterior architecture can still be admired. The courtyard is defended by a Gothic surrounding wall with a machicolated wall walk and reinforced by a belfry-tower. The main façade of the building was built in the Italian style under Henry IV. The rear façade looks over the rue des Gentilshommes.
