Texture - a name chosen to reflect the textile industry but also its impact on the urban and social landscape in Flanders - is housed in converted warehouses with a golden corrugated-iron crown. It sets out the stages in growing flax, creating linen cloth, and the history of this industry, which brought prosperity to the Lys region. Our attention is then turned to the future and the prospective use of this precious material.
