This 3,620-acre park preserves the fields and ridges where George Washington's exhausted and poorly provisione 12,000-man Continental Army campted from December 19, 1777 to June 19, 1778. View the 18min film dramatizing the travails of Washington's men, and to see artifacts used by the encamped army. Then take the 10mi self-guided driving toura past earthworks and historic stone buildings, including Washington's Headquarters, where George and his wife, Martha, spent that stark winter.
