The Navigation Museum is located inside the old fish market hall (1910), displaying exhibits such as navigation instruments, paintings, shipping maps, logbooks and model ships. Also of interest is the Kieler Hansekogge, the replica of a commercial sailing ship used in the Middle Ages, and the Ellebeker Fischerboot dating from 1910 and in use until 1950, from which the locals would fish for herring and sprat in spring and eel and mackerel in summer.
